Dear Parents,
The University of Cambridge Assessment exams qualify and certify the level of knowledge of the 4 language skills in English (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking), with a focus on grammar, vocabulary and fluency.
St John's, as an official preparatory centre for the University of Cambridge Assessment exams since 2008 (Winner Platinum Center – code BR 096), considers it extremely important to be evaluated and qualified by this worldwide institution, which guarantees the level of proficiency of the English language of the school.
This year, St John's will promote its third Cambridge exam at the St John's International School Campus for students from Year 2 to Year 6. Starting with the Young Learners Starters series, which is aimed at literate elementary school children, and Young Learners Movers and Flyers. Students in these groups are already being prepared in Cambridge Prep classes, which are included in the St. John's Curriculum schedule. In these classes, taught by our Cambridge University certified teachers, students work on the necessary required skills, as well as update themselves in the format of official exams, through activities (comprehension, reading and speaking) and mocks.
IMPORTANT: Students enrolled this term won't need to take the exam this year. For long-standing students the exam is mandatory.
